About Valheim Map

Valheim Map is a free fan site: a seed map and world viewer that run in your browser, and a database of the game's items, creatures and building pieces.

Where the data comes from

The map does not guess. The world generator is a port of the game's own world generation, checked value by value against the real Valheim 1.0.17 dedicated server: the same seed gives the same biomes, heights and locations as the game. The database comes from the game's data as well: 994 items, 142 creatures and 540 building pieces, with their stats, recipes, drops and spawn rules read from the game itself rather than typed in by hand.

What it does for you

The seed map shows any seed's biomes, boss altars, traders, dungeons and more before you play.
The world viewer opens your own world and character files to show your exact world, your explored area, your pins and your bases. The files stay in your browser.
The database answers the questions that come up while playing: what a recipe needs, what a boss drops, which food to eat, which command to type.

Versions

Everything on this site matches Valheim 1.0.17. Worlds made in an older version of the game, or changed by mods, can differ from what the map shows.
