Valheim 0.146.8
This patch reworks the socket backend, which should ease connection problems for many players. Windows builds gain Vulkan support, a crash-prone ALT+F4 logout issue that corrupted worlds is fixed, and the bosses Bonemass, Moder and Yagluth are made harder. Character save data has changed, so a character saved in this version cannot be loaded in an older one.
New content 2
- Windows builds now support Vulkan, which you can turn on for now by adding "-force-vulkan" as a launch option in the Steam properties for Valheim.
- Vulkan might fix some random crashes tied to GPU drivers.
Changes and balancing 7
- Bonemass, Moder and Yagluth have had their difficulty tweaked to make them more challenging, since players were killing bosses too fast.
- Moder's music has been updated.
- Deathsquitos can now be heard from slightly farther away.
- The audio on the blast furnace and the spinning wheel has been tweaked.
- The shared map position setting is now saved separately for each world.
- The network stats display (F2) has been updated.
- Once a character has been loaded and saved in this version, it can no longer be loaded in an older version of Valheim, because of changes to character save data.
