Valheim 0.216.8
Patch 0.216.8 is a public test build that continues the work on fixing problems. Saves are much less backwards compatible than with most patches, so extra backups are strongly recommended, and there is a risk you may have to restore them while playing on the public test. A permanent backup is now made when you load into a new world version.
Changes and balancing 1
- Loading into a new world version now creates a permanent backup, so you can revert if you want to.
Fixes 7
- Some worlds that were not showing up correctly now display properly.
- Creating a character with the same name as a previous one now works.
- Bed issues have been fixed.
- Monsters no longer move before they have finished being staggered.
- Monsters no longer end up with the wrong weapon after you leave an area and come back.
- Loading worlds on a dedicated server has been fixed.
- Worlds with underscores in their names have been fixed.
Other 2
- This patch makes saves significantly less backwards compatible than other patches, so make extra backups before playing.
- The developers will do their best to let you keep your save files when this goes live, but you might still have to restore your backups while playing on the public test.
