Valheim 0.217.30

Patch 0.217.30 is a hotfix release that addresses seven issues. Most of them involve controller, Steam Deck and menu behavior. The rest cover text loading and the merchant shield.

Fixes 7

  • Text now loads correctly when the computer name contains non-English characters.
  • The character's orientation now updates properly when interacting with objects.
  • The touchpad on PS controllers no longer sometimes opens the pause menu and the map menu at once.
  • Custom keybinds for the build menu can now close it.
  • The Steam Deck D-pad and left trackpad now register input in the GUI reliably.
  • Characters no longer jump when leaving the pause menu, which depended on the controller layout.
  • The merchant shield no longer stops working after you log out and back in.
