Valheim 0.221.4: Call to Arms
This public test build for the Call to Arms update changes how adrenaline is gained and adjusts wooden weapons, Bears and Viles. It also fixes several crashes and visual problems. As a public test build it may be unstable.
Changes and balancing 14
- Staff of Embers and Staff of Fracturing now grant adrenaline when used rather than when they hit, and Staff of Frost projectiles give 1 Adrenaline per hit instead of 2.
- Area attacks, such as those made by sledges, now grant adrenaline, while staggering enemies gives 3 adrenaline instead of 5 and killing Seeker Broods gives less than before.
- Wooden Greatsword can now be repaired at the workbench, wooden weapons have more fitting block power, and Wooden Atgeirs are a bit rarer to find.
- Knives have been tweaked to work better in combat on slopes.
- Frost Blob is now weak against fire and very resistant against frost, and the Frost Blob Bomb needs a Drake trophy instead of a Stone Golem trophy.
- Skull Splittur now needs Black Forge level 1 instead of level 3 to craft, and it gives off a little light like similar weapons.
- Bears and Viles disappear 4 seconds after death instead of 8, are less likely to get stuck behind trees and boulders, and Bears can now swim.
- Viles can now drop Rotten Meat as well as Bear Meat, and they now belong to the Plains Monster faction instead of the Undead faction.
- Trinkets are now crafted at the Forge instead of the Workbench, and the Mistlands and Ashlands trinkets are crafted at the Black Forge.
- An equipped Trinket and an equipped Utility Item are now both visible on the character at once.
- You can no longer dodge while overencumbered.
- Cores are no longer put on the hot bar when picked up, and can still be placed on item stands.
- Fragrant Bundle, Fresh Seaweed and Thistle can now lie flat on horizontal item stands.
- Battle Brother has remembered his real name: T.W.I.G.
