Ruby is a Material that the game describes simply as "Valuable". Each one weighs 0.1, and you can carry up to 20 in a single stack. It can be teleported, so it won't be held back by a portal. If you want to turn it into coins, a Ruby sells for 20.
Ruby is used in two places. It goes into crafting the Bronze Pendant, and it is also needed to build the Treasure Chest.
