Writhan is a non-boss undead creature that lives in the Swamp. It is active both day and night, at altitudes of -2 to 10 m. It appears alone, and it can spawn at levels 1 to 3.

Its bite does 70 damage to a body at a range of 5. It walks at a speed of 1 and runs at a speed of 2. A Writhan has 400 health. It is weak to slash and resists blunt and fire. It is immune to chop, pickaxe and poison damage.

When killed, a Writhan always drops 1 to 2 Writhan Roots (100% chance). It also has a 10% chance to drop 1 Writhan Trophy.
