Valheim traders guide: Haldor, Hildir and the Bog Witch

Haldor, Hildir and the Bog Witch each stand in a different biome and run a very different shop. Hildir has the longest list, the Bog Witch has the single most expensive item, and Haldor has the shortest list. This guide gives each trader a table sorted by price, followed by a comparison. "Per buy" is the amount you receive for the listed price.

Haldor

Haldor stands in the Black Forest and sells 11 items.

Fishing Bait is the cheapest item here: 10 coins buys 20. Barrel Hoops are the only other item sold in a quantity above 1.

Haldor's three most expensive items are all locked behind a boss. Wider Pockets needs Moder defeated, Egg needs Yagluth defeated, and Deeper Pockets needs The Queen defeated. The Elder opens up Thunder Stone and Ymir Flesh, which are both cheap.

Everything available from the start costs 950 coins or less. Megingjord, at 950, is the dearest of those.

Hildir

Hildir stands in the Meadows and sells 38 items. Her stock is tied to her requests rather than to boss kills. Items unlock when her first, second or third request is done, and the rest are available from the start.

Every item is sold 1 at a time. The most you will pay is 600 coins, for the Barber Kit, which is available from the start. Her cheapest item is Basic Fireworks at 50 coins, but it only unlocks after her third request.

Price does not follow the request order exactly. The first request unlocks items from 200 coins up to 550 (Harvest Tunic and Harvest Dress). The second request covers 250 to 450. The third request has the widest range, from the 50-coin Basic Fireworks to the 550-coin items with beads.

Her stock is gated by bosses more than the other traders'. The list covers The Elder, Moder, the Sea Serpent, Yagluth, The Queen, Fader, the Frozen King and Writhan. Moder alone unlocks Toadstool, Fragrant Bundle, Mountain Peak Pepper Powder and Scythe Handle.

Most items are sold 5 per buy. Candle Wick is the exception, at 50 per buy for 100 coins. Ivy Seeds come 3 per buy, and Toadstool, Serving Tray, Scythe Handle and Crown of Roots are sold 1 at a time.

Apart from the Crown of Roots, her prices run from 65 to 220 coins. The Crown of Roots costs 3000 coins and needs Writhan defeated. That is the highest price in this guide, above Haldor's Deeper Pockets at 2000.
