“A sleek bolt of dark metal.”
Black Metal Bolt is ammo for the Crossbows skill, first available in the Mistlands, since the Black Forge is built from Mistlands materials. The in-game description calls it "A sleek bolt of dark metal." At quality 1 it deals 62 pierce damage.
Each bolt weighs 0.1, and a stack holds up to 100. It can be teleported.
You craft Black Metal Bolts at a Black Forge at station level 2. One craft makes 20 bolts and takes 2 Black Metal, 8 Wood and 2 Feathers.
