Every crafting station in Valheim has a work range and a set of station levels. The work range is how close you need to stand for the station to count. Each recipe is tied to a station level, so the level of the station decides which items you can make there. This guide goes through the stations in the order you are likely to meet them, with the item count for each level and a few examples.
