Valheim 0.215.2
This patch continues work on Xbox problems, with several fixes aimed at making world saves and backups more reliable. More patches are still needed before all Xbox issues are fully resolved. It also improves how backups behave, adjusts the minimap and tones down some flashing lights.
Changes and balancing 4
- A backup is no longer deleted once it has been restored, so you can restore the same backup several times.
- World saves that have lost their .fwl file now appear in the Manage Saves menu, which lets you delete them.
- With the "reduce flashing lights" setting on, lighting effects are weaker for Eikthyr antlers, all boss spawning, guardian power and boss stone activation.
- The console and log file now show the network compatibility version separately, and each non-PC platform has a platform prefix in its version text.
Fixes 6
- Fixed backups failing to restore when the main save file was missing its .fwl file.
- Fixed world saves in cloud storage creating a blank .old file when saving, rather than no .old file.
- Player and ship markers now display correctly above map pins on the minimap.
- World saving is more stable and faster on Microsoft Store and Xbox, which lowers the chance of corrupted saves.
- Cloud saves corrupted by incomplete file operations are now detected and can no longer be started as empty worlds.
- Fixed cloud save time stamps being read as UTC instead of local time.
