Valheim 0.218.12
This public test build, which may be unstable, adds two new build pieces that can be placed directly in lava. It also changes how enemies and lava rocks spawn in the Ashlands, makes sailing in and boarding the Drakkar easier, and fixes several flickering and performance problems.
New content 1
- Two new build pieces, the Flametal Pillar and Flametal Beam, can be placed directly in the lava.
Changes and balancing 10
- Enemies no longer spawn close to the bigger Ashlands ruins, and they are less likely to spawn where you can see them.
- The shield generator now also stops enemies and lava rocks from spawning.
- Lava rock eruptions no longer happen close to your base, but can still happen close to players.
- Flametal pillars are less likely to start sinking and sink more slowly, and basalt platforms stay up longer before sinking.
- There are slightly fewer rocks when sailing into unexplored areas of the Ashlands.
- The Drakkar can now take a small amount of fire damage, and its ladder should be easier to reach from the water.
- The new weapons got minor balancing tweaks, lightning and primal special effect chances are increased, and a tooltip was added for the lightning effect.
- The Asksvin bite attack range is slightly reduced, and the Charred avoid lava slightly more.
- The walls of Charred Fortresses now go even further down beneath the ground.
- The Ashen Cape has physics tweaks.
Fixes 3
- Ashwood beams and poles no longer flicker when placed at a right angle, and Grausten stairs no longer flicker when placed next to each other.
- The Ashwood 26° wall should now line up properly with other Ashwood walls.
- Fixed a bug that could make FPS drop after a lot of things had been burning.
