Valheim 0.218.15: Ashlands
Patch 0.218.15 adds the Ashlands, a fiery southern biome that can only be reached by sea. It brings new weapons, armour, creatures, building pieces, food and a new boss. It also includes some small fixes, tweaks and console commands.
New content 14
- The Ashlands is a new biome with 30+ new weapons, 3 new armour sets, 2 new capes, 10+ new creatures, 70+ new buildable items, 5 new crafting station upgrades, 30+ new crafting materials, 15+ new food items and potions, plus new locations, music, events and mechanics.
- The Ashlands is cut off from other biomes and reachable only by sea, and its boiling hot waters can only be sailed by the sturdiest ships, such as the new Drakkar.
- Cinders rain from the sky and damage unprotected players, wooden build pieces can catch fire and spread it, and deadly lava covers large parts of the land, which you cross using your own platforms.
- A new world modifier, part of the immersive preset, lets fire spread outside the Ashlands as well.
- New enemies include the Fallen Valkyrie, Charred Warrior, Charred Archer, Charred Warlock, Charred Twitcher, Skugg turret, Morgen, Bonemaw Serpent, Volture, Lava Blob and the Redbeard Dvergr.
- The Asksvin can be tamed and ridden with the new Asksvin Saddle, and it also has a calf form.
- The new boss is Fader and the new miniboss is Lord Reto, with the Monument of Torment and Effigy of Malice as new spawners and a new forsaken power.

- Flametal weapons can be combined with Bloodstone, Iolite or Jade to become magical weapons with blood, storm or nature based effects.
- New armour sets are Flametal, Robes of Embla and Breastplate of Ask, along with the Asksvin Cloak and Ashen Cape; new Basalt and Smoke Bombs and several new ammunition types such as Grausten Payload, Charred Arrow and Flametal Missile are also added.
- New crafting materials include Flametal Ore and a new Flametal (the previous Flametal is obsolete), Sulfur, Ashwood, Grausten, Majestic Carapace (previously Queen Drop) and various Asksvin, Morgen, Bonemaw, Volture and Charred drops; new crafting station extensions include the Artisan Press, Feathery Wreath, Metal Cutter and Gem Cutter.
- Building additions include 25 Ashwood pieces, 26 Grausten pieces, Flametal Gate, Pillar and Beam, new furniture such as the Bone Throne and Lava Lantern, a Shield Generator, a stone Portal, a Catapult and Battering Ram for claiming Charred Fortresses, and plantable Ashvines that grow on base walls.
