- Hammer and Serving Tray: their menus have been overhauled.
- Build piece authors: a new HUD window shows who built each piece. You can enable it in the settings menu.
- Character creator: all hair and beard styles are available from the start, not only from the Barber Station.
- Animations and visuals: player movement animations were overhauled, the player burns green when hit by Fader's fire, a Magica Cloth system was added for capes and other cloth items, more creatures have wake-up and sleep animation variants, the blob jump animation was improved, and ambient occlusion was improved.
- Descriptions: all build piece descriptions were overhauled.
- Balance:
- Bjorn has a reduced spawn chance in the Black Forest and reduced health.
- Mistlands and Ashlands gear has increased durability.
- Multiple enemies have a reduced spawn chance in Ashlands, and the time between spawns of Charred monsters there is shorter.
- Wisp Light, Wisp Torch and Mistwalker have a larger mist removal range, and all Mistlands weapons now remove mist.
- Rare enemy drops were tweaked so you are less likely to kill many enemies without ever receiving the drop.
- Cheats: items spawned with cheat commands are marked as "cheated item" in your inventory.
- Controls and input: Ctrl+Delete and Ctrl+Backspace now work in text fields, and vibration support was added for some controllers and platforms (Mac: Dualshock; Windows: Dualshock and Xbox; Xbox: Xbox controllers).
- Menus and platform:
- The main menu was cleaned up and the changelog is hidden by default.
- An EULA was added for playing online.
- Ukrainian is now an officially supported language.
- Xbox versions show the Xbox user in the main menu.
- The "Balanced" graphics preset can be selected on non-120 Hz TVs and falls back to "Performance" at 60 Hz output.

- The keyboard key hint "[1-8]" no longer shows when you use a controller.
- The Manage Saves menu no longer loads too slowly when V-sync is enabled.
- Aliasing in Xbox profile pictures was fixed.
- Several old dev commands were improved.
- Performance and memory work:
- World generation is much faster.
- Network traffic from terrain manipulation was reduced.
- Audio and textures were optimized to cut memory usage, and audio changes also reduce lag spikes.
- The Asksvin Skeleton, Artisan Table and Blast Furnace models were optimized.

Hotfix 1.0.10 (September 11, 2026)
Patch 1.0.10 arrives on all platforms and fixes Deep North issues such as unrepairable heavy armour and Greydwarf Shaman damage, and it also updates sounds and snow behaviour. Patch 1.0.12 is on Steam first and will reach other platforms in an upcoming hotfix, with crossplay still fully supported. It fixes a crash, banlist and whitelist problems, and item stand durability loss, and it lets players opt back into achievements after using devcommands or mods.
Changes and balancing 6
- Greydwarf Shamans in Deep North now deal appropriate amounts of damage and healing.
- Punching no longer removes snow, while landing on snow without directly walking now removes it.
- Various sound effects were updated for several creatures and for the snow in Deep North.
- It is now easier to fit the Cart through the Timberwood Drawbridge.
- A new devcommand, 'yesiuseddevcommandsbutiwantmyachievementsanyway', lets you opt into achievements even if you have used devcommands or mods.
- A popup message now makes it clearer when you can receive achievements again after they were temporarily disabled.
Fixes 6
- The heavy armour in Deep North can now be repaired.
- Using the Forge of Potential no longer unlocks recipes that should not be unlocked.
- Items on armour stands and item stands no longer lose their durability and upgrade level if the world has not yet been loaded in the 1.0 update.
- Fixed a crash that could happen when players tried to access a zone that wasn't loaded.
- Banlist and whitelist now work with old IDs (e.g. Steam_123456789) as well as new IDs (e.g. V_123456789).
- Jotun Puffs and Magecaps no longer look pickable after they have been picked.
Known issues 1
- If you have been playing 1.0, do not remove high level items such as fish, weapons or armour from your item stands without using backups, because a better fix for the durability and upgrade level loss is still being worked on.
Other 1
- Patch 1.0.12 is Steam only for now and will come to all other platforms in an upcoming hotfix.
